My background is mainly in advertising and strategic marketing for small to medium-sized businesses. I've been a successful account executive in both print and broadcast media for companies like CBS Radio and Clear Channel for the past 16 years, and I've made my clients a lot of money. I've trained media salespeople, created and sold event sponsorships for everything from sailing regattas to massive multi-day stadium concerts, and implemented endorsement programs with celebrities and pro athletes.

Currently I am a managing member of Helicopter Marketing & Communications in Baltimore, MD, USA ("the arch-enemy of mindless marketing"), specializing in new business development, internal and external communication, and customized growth strategy.

I understand what it takes to make your media dollars work for you. And I'll tell you the things that your ad reps don't want you to know. Because typically they're not looking out for your best interests-they're looking out for the interests of their station, their managers, and their wallets.

When I'm not wearing a tie, I'm a freelance music and lifestyle editor & blogger, and perform with a mentally-imbalanced redneck rock band called The Roadhouse Clams.

I also do high speed driving instruction for performance car owners on road courses in the mid-Atlantic.
